Some thinking about the Millennial Eschatology of ‘Riverdale’

This is a project (not even a project, a vessel?) for my scholarly work around Riverdale,the CW adaption of the Archie Comics Universe which ended in 2023 and was a large part of my thesis, A Curious Vexation I defended at Bard College for my MFA in summer 2024. I am writing from the perspective of a peak millennial femme (1989 is more than a way of life), seeking to live a full and happy philosophical life, to contribute to the story of the human race, to fully embrace being a creature of my time, an example of our millennial aesthetics and ways of being.

So, Serpent Queen’s Gambit is about Riverdale, graduate school, the writing life, the South, and ways I’ve found to come to grips with who the kids writing in cursive watching 9/11 became and how we can use the tools we have made to escape the fear of death.
